  As drinking tea becomes more popular, there are more and more utensils used for tea brewing. The utensils are becoming more beautiful and delicate; we will introduce the utensils that can be currently found on the market.  
     
 

1.       Teapot: They can be made of clay (according to the clay it can be divided into purple clay, red earth, green clay, yellow clay… etc.), porcelain, gold, or steel.(see: 10 knowing and purchasing teapots)

2.         Tea tray: The tea tray is a tray used to place the teacups and other tea utensils. Because there are different levels of needs, there are many different styles and materials available. The most common are stainless steel and plastic tea trays; their similarities are the two levels. The top level is used to place the teapot, the teacups, the bowl, and the tea server, because there are holes, the tea can flow to the lower level. They also are found to be made by materials such as clay, porcelain, rock, bamboo, and wood.

3.       Teacup: Lately the double cup tea brewing method is very popular, the tall cup is called the sniffer cup, the short cup is called the mouth cup (or drinking cup), the material is mostly porcelain, there are also clay cups, stainless steel cups, or glass… etc.
   

4.        Tea brewing stand: Usually used to catch the excess water when brewing.
 

5.       Bowl: Or also called the tea pond, its function is to retain the excess water when brewing tea.

6.        Tea server: It is also called the tea sea or even cup, when brewing tea the tea is first poured into the tea server and then poured out to ensure evenness of the tea, it is then poured into the teacups, so it is also called the fairness cup.
 

7.        Tea pad: The function is to protect the bottom of the teapot, and prevent friction and impact between the tea tray and the teapot.
 

8.       Tea towel: Used to clean the tea that flows onto the table, under the teapot, or under the cups, in order to maintain a clean tea tasting environment.

9.        Tea scoop: The tea scoop is used to take the tea directly from the tea container or pushing the tea into the teapot along with the tea needle to prevent the hands from affecting the tea quality. In ancient times they refer to a certain amount as a “scoop,” the tea scoop was already used during the period of powdered tea. At that time it was used to measure the quantity of tea and to place the tea evenly into the tea brewing container.
 

10.    Tea dish: The main function is to pour the tea in the teapot or to view the tea. Currently there are tea dishes made from materials such as wood, bamboo, clay, and porcelain.  
 

11.    Tea needle: Or also called dregs spoon, the function is to pick at the tea when placing the tea into the teapot, when the tea does not flow smoothly while brewing, it can be used to free the spout from tea leaves. It can also be used to pick out the leaves after brewing tea.

12.    Tea funnel: It is placed at the opening, so that the tea can enter into the teapot without falling out.
 

13.    Water way: Used to place the leftover water or tea when brewing tea. 
 

14.    Dregs way: A vessel used to place the dregs taken out of the teapot, and the leftovers from snacks eaten while drinking tea.

16.     Sword: It is shaped like the tea needle, but more light and delicate.
 

17.     Lid saucer: It is the place to put the lid, allowing the lid to have a fixed location.
 

18.     Needle saucer : It is the place to put the tea needle.
 

19.    Cup saucer: The item the cup is placed on, to prevent the hot teacup from harming hands, it can pass on the heat. It can be made from porcelain, clay, wood, or bamboo.  
 

20.    Cleaning way: Usually made by cloth, the tea utensils are placed on it. The name cleaning way means maintaining the cleanliness of the tea brewing environment while brewing tea, absorbing water through the natural ability of cloth.  
 

21.    Coaster: Placed at the sniffer cup or teacup, because they are mostly made of cloth, it can absorb the tea at the bottom of the cup.
 

22.    Tea bottom plate: It is a light colored plate used after brewing tea, to place the dregs for admiration.
  

23.    Water heater: Alcohol lamp: It is favored in tea houses, it can only maintain the water temperature and cannot boil water. Gas stove: Modern water boiler, it is convenient because the size of the fire can be controlled. Electric water kettle: Using electricity to heat water and maintain the temperature. Wind stove: Coal fire stove, boiling the water through burning coal.
 

24.    Serving tray: It is the tray used to serve tea to the guests.
 

25.    Tea tent: The home to all the tea utensils, after brewing tea and cleaning, the tea utensils are placed back.
 

26.    Tent cover: A clean towel used to cover the tea tent in order to prevent dust.
